O que são Bolhas nas Gengivas


Como as bolhas nas gengivas se parecemBolhas nas gengivas - também conhecidas como parulo - são pontos de drenagem para abscessos nas raízes dos dentes. Quando o nervo de um dente morre, ele sai do dente próximo à raiz. Em reação a isso, o corpo envia glóbulos brancos para destruir a infecção, e à medida que esses glóbulos brancos morrem, formam um abscesso. Se não tratado, o abscesso rompe os tecidos da boca e drena. Esse ponto de drenagem é conhecido como parulo ou bolha na gengiva.





Bolhas nas gengivas podem estar cheias de líquido ou ser formadas por tecido fibroso sólido da gengiva. A cor pode parecer normal ou a área da bolha pode parecer vermelha e irritada.


 

Tipos de Bolhas nas Gengivas

O que causa bolhas nas gengivas? Bolhas nas gengivas têm diferentes causas e variações. Elas também podem ser chamadas de tumores. Saber o que causa bolhas nas gengivas em sua boca pode ajudar a tratá-las adequadamente.

  • O crescimento excessivo das gengivas pode ser devido a um efeito colateral de medicamentos prescritos, dentaduras mal ajustadas ou uso de aparelho ortodôntico. Essas são provavelmente as formas mais comuns de bolhas nas gengivas.

  • Uma forma comum de tumor gengival é o “tumor da gravidez” nas gengivas, induzido pelos níveis hormonais durante a gestação. Eles desaparecem rapidamente após o término da gravidez e o retorno dos níveis hormonais ao normal.

  • Bolhas congênitas nas gengivas podem estar presentes ao nascimento.

Furúnculos gengivais na boca podem aparecer em várias formas diferentes:
  • Áreas inchadas e duras de tecido fibroso
  • Bolhas macias, inchadas e cheias de líquido
  • Rosa claro
  • Vermelho escuro
  • Sem sangramento, falta de suprimento sanguíneo
  • Sangramento durante a higiene oral

Embora não estejam realmente em ou acima de um dente, os furúnculos gengivais geralmente causam dores de dente intensas. Isso ocorre porque a inflamação pressiona o nervo de outros dentes. Outros sintomas que podem ocorrer incluem náusea, febre, vermelhidão na boca ou rosto, mau hálito, diarreia, glândulas inchadas, sensibilidade ao quente ou frio, sensibilidade ao toque ou dor ao mastigar.

Perigos e Riscos à Saúde

Furúnculos gengivais podem ser completamente benignos ou podem indicar uma infecção grave na boca. A maioria dos furúnculos benignos não apresenta sintomas como sensibilidade ou sangramento, enquanto aqueles com sintomas tendem a estar associados a infecções dentárias graves.







Se não tratadas, infecções como as associadas a abscessos dentários podem se espalhar pelo corpo e aumentar os riscos de doenças cardiovasculares, outras doenças sistêmicas ou, em casos raros, abscessos cerebrais. 1


Se um furúnculo gengival ou abscesso não for tratado, a infecção pode se espalhar para outros dentes ou até outras partes do corpo. O inchaço pode aumentar e, em alguns casos, obstruir as vias aéreas e causar a morte. Perigos mais imediatos incluem a perda de dentes devido à erosão óssea causada pela infecção.

 

Tratamentos para Furúnculos Gengivais

Não apenas será necessário drenar o abscesso, mas provavelmente você precisará de antibióticos para combater a infecção restante. No entanto, isso trata apenas a superfície da situação.
