Taking A Closer Look At Dental Online Marketing Communication

Trusted Health Products

In the last issue of Dental Success, we provided you with 5 things you should do right away to add value to your practice. This month lets get more specific and take a closer look at your digital marketing as well as in-office communications and discuss what you can do to strengthen them.

Two of the most important words to remember in the area of online marketing are Content and Communication. Not only should you continuously provide new content to engage would-be customers, but you need to also communicate with your current established patients in a timely fashion. Here are some tips to keep in mind and begin practicing asap.

Always Refresh Your Website And Blog

Always add new, original, exciting and timely content to your site and blog. A good rule of thumb is to post new items about three times per week.

Compile And Post Customer Reviews

Gather up your positive online customer reviews from Yelp, Facebook and Google - as well as your own site and any other sites - and make sure your established patients and potential patients see them. Create a reputation management page on your website to make it easy for your patients to leave a review. Also, post the reviews and news items regularly on Facebook and also ask your patients to share the postings with their friends.

Know Your Website Stats

Be sure to have a good understanding of Google Analytics so you can assess your website and blog data and activity periodically. You can also use this tool to adjust and update your website information toward what your readers like the most.

Update Your Inner Office Communications

Train your staff to always answer the phone during office hours and never use an answering machine during this period. Be sure that your staff is also trained in communicating in a timely and friendly manner with patients by returning after-hour phone calls promptly, checking and returning emails as soon as possible and making follow-up calls to patients to remind them of their upcoming appointment as well as see how they did following their last visit.

These tips will help as you continue to operate and grow a successful dental practice. In today's climate staying on top of your online and in-office communications is imperative. Good luck!
