Place 2-5 drops on a toothbrush, and brush as usual. May be used as a liquid toothpaste, mouth rinse, and breath freshener. For best results follow the 3-Step Oral Hygiene Program:
1. Floss once a day
2. Brush morning and evening: Wet toothbrush, turn bottle upside down (do not shake), drop 1-5 drops (1-2 drops when first starting) of OraMD onto the bristles and brush as directed. Those who have sensitive gums should increase the amount at their own pace. Be sure to brush your tongue. OraMD can be powerfully minty so stay within your comfort zone.
Brushing Technique: Hold the OraMD Toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to your teeth and brush in a short, circular motion with the bristles penetrating the gum line as you brush. Apply firm but light pressure. This gentle sweeping action along the gum line will dislodge the soft material containing foreign particles, bacteria and plaque thereby reducing cavities and preventing gum infection. Brush the outer surfaces, and the chewing surfaces.
3. Rinse and gargle morning and evening: 1-2 drops in an ounce of water.

How long does a bottle of OraMD last?
Depending on usage, usually 1-2 months. But each bottle can last 3+ months if you just use it as a toothpaste, using two drops on your toothbrush and brushing twice a day. Each bottle contains approximately 400 drops or 100 days worth of use. Many customers use more than suggested in our 5-Step Program because they like it, so your use may vary.

What should I expect to see and feel when using OraMD?

Should I rinse my mouth out after brushing with OraMD?
No, just spit out any excess. Doing this allows the oils to absorb more thoroughly into the soft tissues of your mouth. (Some people really want to rinse, so if you do, it’s ok but it’s better if you don’t.)
How can OraMD get to the bacteria deep in the gum line?
OraMD is comprised of potent botanical oils, whose natural property is absorption. An oil will naturally seep into soft tissue in the mouth, and penetrate deep down into the gum line.
What type of toothbrush should I use?
Use a SOFT bristled brush only. Be sure to only use a brush with nylon bristles, as cheaper plastics will sometimes not hold up to the potency of the botanical oils in OraMD. Most name brand toothbrushes have nylon bristles. Rinse the brush thoroughly with warm water after brushing.
Can I use an electric toothbrush?
Yes, it is an excellent choice of practice. Be sure to only use a brush with nylon bristles, as cheaper plastics will sometimes not hold up to the potency of the botanical oils in OraMD.
Can I use a Water Pik with OraMD?
Water Irrigators aid in flushing out the bacteria and pockets. Our recommendation is to use the irrigator prior to brushing with OraMD. OraMD is an oil and will separate from the water or sit on top of it if you use it in the irrigator, so we do not recommend using OraMD in the water irrigator. This is again because some plastic components will not stand up to the potency of OraMD’s powerful botanicals.
Can I use foam or polystyrene plastic cups?
Avoid using foam cups because polystyrene plastics will not hold up to the menthol in this product. The reasons for reactions like these can be traced all the way down to the molecular level, and are actually based upon the electrical charge of molecules that vary greatly from substance to substance. Numerous products and ingredients that are safe for human consumption have this effect on polystyrene plastics.
Should I continue to floss when using OraMD?
Yes. We recommend flossing once per day after brushing with OraMD.
Are there any side effects from using OraMD?
There have never been any harmful side effects reported. We would suggest consulting your physician if you are allergic to peppermint, spearmint or almonds.
Is OraMD safe to use with braces/crowns/artificial dental work?
Although we have never heard of any adverse side effects, we recommend consulting your dentist before using the product.
Is it safe to swallow OraMD?
Do not swallow. Use product only as intended by following included directions.
Does OraMD whiten the teeth?
OraMD does not have any kind of abrasive so it will not break up surface stains acquired from everyday substances like coffee, dark soda, smoking, food, etc. We recommend using a small amount of baking soda or hydrogen peroxide before using OraMD in the morning once or twice a week. Be sure to rinse thoroughly afterwards, and then brush with OraMD as normal.
What about fluoride?

Since OraMD does not have fluoride, how can I stop cavities?
Many independent studies have shown that even though fluoride has been recommended for decades for prevention of tooth decay, not using fluoride has been just as effective for tooth decay as using fluoride. In fact, fluoride is considered a drug by the FDA and is actually only slightly more poisonous than lead and slightly less poisonous than arsenic when consumed. It’s been banned in 97% of the water supply of Europe and many countries have banned the use of fluoride all together. It’s also a toxic waste material of the agriculture industry. Can I use too much OraMD?
In short, no. When following the 5-Step Oral Hygiene Program you are directed to use OraMD 6 times daily – twice when brushing, twice when using as a mouthwash, and twice as a breath freshener by coating the gum line mid-morning and mid-afternoon. However, you can certainly use more if you feel the need. You can’t overuse the product. It’s completely all natural, and safe, so there’s not really a way to overuse it.
Once I have reached my desired results, should I continue using OraMD?
Yes. Many of our customers continue using OraMD as a toothpaste replacement because they like the fresh, clean feeling it leaves in your mouth. Plus, it works great as a preventative. Tip: Just use 2 drops per brushing and you will get 100 days of use per bottle. Each bottle contains approximately 400 drops.
Can I dilute OraMD? It is too strong for me.
Yes, just use one drop instead of two or more. When using OraMD for the first time it is normal to notice a much stronger or intense taste. This is due to the powerful botanicals it contains. Typically, this strong taste subsides within a week of use as directed.
When I use OraMD I get a tingling or burning feeling in my mouth.
Sometimes for the first week or so it’s more intense, but as you consistently use it a few times a day for a few days or a week you’ll really get used to it.
Do the ingredients in OraMD kill the good bacteria too?
The mouth produces hundreds of types of bacteria. Though the ingredients in OraMD kill periodontal bacteria, some other types of bacteria may also be eliminated in the process. Your mouth is continually producing the good bacteria.
Is OraMD safe for my enamel?
Yes. There’s no abrasive in it at all. While it is potent, it does not cause any problems with your enamel. What would cause problems for the enamel are things like silica in toothpaste. The silica eventually wears down the enamel.
Do people have any reactions to the product?
Only if someone has a preexisting food allergy to one of the ingredients, which is very rare as most people have been exposed to peppermint, spearmint and almonds, and usually know if they are allergic to them.
Can OraMD be used during pregnancy?
We do not recommend use during pregnancy. Women who are pregnant should consult with their physician prior to use. Peppermint oil in larger doses above what you would get in a serving of OraMD has been known to cause early signs of labor pain/contractions.
Can OraMD be used while breast feeding?
We do not recommend using the product during breast feeding due to the fact that the baby may have allergies that are not yet known.
Is OraMD safe to use on pets?
Pet owners should consult with their veterinarian first. OraMD is safe for pet use, but your pet will not like it. We’ve heard of dogs running and hiding from it, and cats frothing at the mouth after being given OraMD. But it does kill the harmful bacteria in a pet’s mouth.
How fresh is the product when purchased?

What is the shelf life of OraMD?
