The compound of DMAE is naturally created in our bodies. And you’ve likely heard it mentioned when it comes to eating salmon, anchovies, sardines, and other fatty fish. DMAE stands for dimethylaminoethanol, an antioxidant membrane stabilizer. In skincare, it can help with your skin aging concerns.
What DMAE Does for Skin
With DMAE in skincare, it is ideal to use it with other antioxidants like vitamins A, E, and C for example as it enhances their effects. In and of itself, DMAE delivers antioxidant protection to protect your skin cells from oxidation by those nasty free radicals.
When you use DMAE in your skincare regimen, you help strengthen your skin cells so free radicals can’t destroy them. Additionally, DMAE helps with a bit of tightening. This is what naturally happens when the cells protect themselves, forming tighter structures. As a result, your skin tightens up too.
So, tighter, firmer skin. And more radiant skin with less chance of those unsightly broken blood vessels. DMAE really does wonders for skin in that it defends it from environmental aggressors as well as the effects of time when muscles tend to sag.
Since DMAE boosts acetylcholine, which helps tone muscles, you get smoother, firmer, and younger skin. It goes far beyond that surface layer where wrinkles and lines develop to stop those aging problems where they start.
DMAE for the Neck Too
So many women stay focused on halting aging on their faces. However, a saggy neck can give away your age. In time, that skin on the neck and chest tends to sag, form deep wrinkles, and take on a crepey texture. If you don’t want to invest in invasive procedures, you should use a DMAE serum to help improve the signs of aging in these areas.
If your jawline sags, your neck is more vulnerable to sagging too. Using DMAE-infused products to handle the neck and chest as well as your face will help keep those cell structures strong and firm.
Not looking aged yet? Don’t let it sneak up on you. Lines and wrinkles are formed every day by our actions and expressions. If you don’t work on tackling them where they start, you’ll eventually see them appear on the surface. The same is true with sagging. By tackling skin concerns now with DMAE, you can hold onto your youthful appearance and confidence.
One Last Word About DMAE for Skin
Products should have at least three percent DMAE to be beneficial for reducing lines and firming up sagging skin. As an added bonus, using DMAE hydrates skin and improves the appearance overall, a result of the tightening up of the cell walls to form a firmer skin matrix that is the very picture of youth.
