Micellar Water: The Uses And Benefits
Many people will know what micellar water is from makeup removal, but it has other uses as well. Micellar water is used in a variety of cleansing, toning, and other beauty waters, and its benefits are amazing. Micellar water is a mixture of micelles. These micelles help to trap any impurities found in the skin so that they can more easily be taken and wiped away, leaving your face clean and pure.
While micellar water is most often used as a makeup removal product, there are other functions of it as well. It is actually known to be quite a multifunctional product that can be inexpensive and used for a variety of reasons. Below are six ways that you can use micellar water in your daily beauty routine that you may not have known about before:
- Tone Your Skin
Micellar water is an amazing product for all-over toners. Because micellar water can draw out any oil or dirt in your skin, your skin will look overall smoother and clearer. While other toners have oil-stripping ingredients, micellar water is a lightweight and simple option for cleaning and toning your skin.
- Remove Your Makeup
Micellar water proves to be a hassle-free makeup removing agent. You can remove all of your makeup - even waterproof makeup - effortlessly. It doesn’t smear makeup around your skin as other wipes may, but instead removes every bit of makeup, leaving your skin able to breathe and be refreshed.
- Cleanse Your Face
If you don’t want the hassle of a face wash, micellar water is a simple yet effective face cleanser. It is easy to apply and will wash away all of the impurities that a normal face wash would. With its lightweight texture, you won’t feel as if you piled products on your face, but you will instead feel refreshed and revamped.
- Hydrate Your Skin
If you are in a hurry and need a simple and handy skin moisturizer, micellar water can do the trick. Many people use micellar water as an on-the-go moisturizer, and it works perfectly. There are travel-sized options for micellar water so you can take one with you anywhere whether it is the gym, the plane, or work.
- Sanitize Your Hands
Other hand sanitizers are alcohol-based so they can dry out the skin on your hands. If you feel your skin drying out, using micellar water as a sanitizing agent can work as a non-drying alternative to hand sanitizers. All you have to do is put some on your hands and rub it in.
- Clean Your Makeup Brushes
Many makeup artists and gurus will use micellar water as a quick fix to wash their makeup brushes. Micellar water is best used for getting rid of any dirt or oil on the skin, so it can do the same thing for your brushes. Rather than spending a bunch of money on a makeup brush cleanser, just use your micellar water and it will do the trick in a matter of minutes.
