Jasmine extract - an oil created from the jasmine plant - has several uses from topical oils, food flavouring, and added scents to everything from perfumes to foods. When used for skin care this essential oil can battle several concerns at once and conquer them all.

Its antibacterial nature can help to reduce acne, help to prevent scarring, and add to the protective layer over skin that helps to hold in hydration and keep out pollutants. For use topically care should be taken, but it is generally safe when used appropriately.

Jasmine is strongly antibacterial, making it good to use in cases of infection, acne caused by bacterial build-up, and for some minor cuts and scrapes. It can help to stave off infection in minor wounds by killing the bacteria that causes it, as well as the bacteria that builds up in the pores to create acne.

It must be used in a diluted form for topical uses and should be tested on a small patch to rule out any irritations or reactions. It also has a high fatty acid content that allows it to add to the protective layer of the skin, helping to maintain the moisture in the skin and thus avoiding many skincare concerns such as dry skin, eczema, wrinkles, and scaly patches.

Antioxidants are useful for protection from sun damage and air pollutants. Its high-antioxidant content assists in building skin elasticity and holding hydration while causing a reduction in wrinkles and sun damage protection. Its smell makes it popular for hand and body lotions, shampoos, conditioners, and other personal care items.

Jasmine Skin Care

Some studies have shown the smell of jasmine to be relaxing and it has grown in popularity in products like self-care items, candles, and baked goods. It’s also used for scenting spas, for massage oils, and relieving tense muscles and sore joints.

Jasmine has several beneficial properties for taking care of the skin, including antibacterial, antiseptic, and high level of antioxidants. This collection of benefits makes it a good fit for every skin type while it helps to clear away and stave off acne, assist in holding hydration levels, and protect the skin from further damage while helping maintain healthy, younger looking skin.

It can help to avoid infection and build-up that causes acne all while slowing the formation of wrinkles and sagging skin.
