Emu Oil For Skin

Created from the fat of the emu, this oil is becoming widely used for skin care. Benefits include everything from increasing moisture retention and anti-aging properties to decreasing inflammation and repairing skin damage from things such as scars, sun damage, and even healing wounds.
With so many wonderful benefits there’s no doubt the popularity will continue to grow as it is added to skincare lines and used not only for preventative care but also as a reparative solution and for spot treatments as needed.
Moisturize with emu oil
Emu oil has not only a moisturizing content but also helps the skin to absorb the moisture that is applied to the skin. It also forms a protective barrier to keep the moisture in and to help the skin absorb it. This aspect makes it beneficial for those with eczema, psoriasis, or other dry skin concerns, with few side effects in a relatively safe product.
With the addition of an anti-inflammatory ability it can encourage a reduction in skin condition flare-ups, decrease the appearance of wrinkles, and help skin look and feel healthy.
Reduce Inflammation with emu oil
When skin is damaged it will often respond with swelling and inflammation. Though it is a natural reaction of the body, it can lead to puffiness, increased wrinkles, and inflammation around dry patches and damaged skin cells.
The fatty acid in emu oil reduces inflammation and provides skin with the moisture to heal, while boosting the formation of collagen.
Collagen Production and emu oil
Collagen production is imperative to smooth skin and slows the signs of aging. As collagen increases the skin is able to regenerate healthy cells to replace the damaged ones. These cells are damaged by the sun, environmental pollutants, injury, or other skin conditions.
Gentle exfoliation can remove the damaged cells, and the collagen helps provide all that’s needed for new, healthy cells to take their place. Once the healthy cells have taken the place of the damaged ones, the damage is no longer visible.
Wounds And Sunburns treated with emu oil
Emu oil is also available as a stand-alone treatment, and can be used not only as an all-over ingredient in other products but as a spot treatment as needed. Diluted emu oil can be added to a small injury and even open wounds, sunburns, sunspots, and other problem areas. This brings all the oil’s fatty acids and collagen boost benefits to where it’s needed.
Many locations are now supporting emu farms so the oil is becoming easy to obtain and the popularity of it is growing, along with discoveries of other benefits.
