Almond Oil's Positive Effects On The Heart
When trying to decide which cooking oil is the most beneficial to your health, there are a couple of different things you need to know. While many people are proponents of olive oil and coconut oil, there are other healthy oils that are becoming more well known and wide spread - one of those being almond oil. Now while many are aware that almond oil can be used extraneously, it also has amazing health benefits that allow it to be consumed. The oil is naturally light colored, thin and incredibly good for the heart. Some of the general positives of the oil are increased cardiovascular health, a good source of vitamin E levels, and high levels of healthy fats.
Heart health is one of the preeminent concerns of many people these days. This makes sense as we are seeing an increasingly large number of people dealing with heart disease. It's imperative that we take our heart health seriously. A study conducted at the University of California, Davis found that cooking with almond oil lowers LDL cholesterol and reduces overall cholesterol in healthy individuals. Due to the specific results and the way the study was done, it showed that the oil proponent of the almond may be even more beneficial to the heart.
Vitamin E
Almond oil is a tremendously rich source of vitamin E, which is one of the most important vitamins for skin and heart health. This is another one of almond oil's positive effects on the heart. Not only is vitamin E an incredible antioxidant that protects your body and immune system, it's even linked to anti-aging properties. It is suggested that just one tablespoon of almond oil added to something like chicken or a salad, will give you over 25% of the daily allotted vitamin E. It packs a big punch when it comes to a little going a long way.
Serotonin
This oil also has the ability to not only protect the heart, but in turn boost serotonin levels during the day. Serotonin is the chemical that makes you feel happy and relaxed. This is undoubtedly good for your heart. Almond oil also has a high amount of fiber in it that is derived from the nut itself. This helps the heart in a couple of different ways. It allows those who ingest the oil on a regular basis to enjoy a more healthy weight. It also wards off type 2 diabetes which can negatively affect the heart a great deal.
Calcium And Folic Acid
Almond oil also has a high amount of natural calcium in it. Calcium is crucial for the building of bones and to allow the body to function properly. The monounsaturated fats, proteins and potassium work directly with the calcium content to strengthen and fortify the heart. Almond oil is also a good source of folic acid, which helps to reduce the fatty build-up around the arteries. Overall, this oil is definitely something that should be included in your food consumption.
