Jojoba Seed Oil For Skin

In the search for better, safer skin care, jojoba seed oil is growing in uses. It has been used for generations in some cultures and is not only hypoallergenic but also moisturizing, antibacterial, as well as a good source of antioxidants and may even boost collagen production.

Grown in places such as New Mexico, the jojoba is a shrub that produces the jojoba seeds, which are then harvested and processed into an oil used alone or as an ingredient in skincare products.

Jojoba Seed Oil Adds Moisture To Skin

As the oil is added to the skin, the differences can be seen fairly quickly and consistently. It helps add moisture to the skin which absorbs the oil quickly and easily due to its similarities to the human body and its own natural oils.

This similarity also makes it hypoallergenic and decreases the likelihood of any reactions occurring. It is safe for all skin types and can be used for general and preventative skincare routines as well as in a more concentrated style to treat only areas that need the extra attention such as eczema.

Jojoba Seed Oil’s Antioxidant And Antibacterial Properties

While the antibacterial properties remove the germs that cause acne and infections, it creates an environment for healthy and clear skin as well as an antioxidant boost for skin health healing abilities.

Antioxidants provide the skin with the nutrients that it needs to grow healthy skin cells, heal itself after injury, and boost the elasticity of the skin which reduces wrinkles and signs of aging. With an increased supply of antioxidants and a boost to collagen, skin retains elasticity, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, along with reducing sagging and puffiness.

The vitamin E boost is especially beneficial for avoiding and reducing scarring from either injuries or acne.
